Some of you seem to be confused. Jim was never a hippie. Just because he dropped acid and made music did not classify him as one and he never claimed to be. This is not a song of peace, love, and weed. In fact,its the direct opposite, and as I said before, every piece of music from this era was not made by hippies. Plus, Jim Morrison preferred alcohol over any other substance, and died a tragic death in relation to it.

@ackapollo ..Wel...Jim Morrison was not a hippie, and never claimed to be one. In fact this very song "LA Woman" is written with undertones which are directly the opposite of peace and love. Now as far as the herb part...it has nothing to do with that either, considering it was written an performed while Jim was hard on the alcohol (he was an alcoholic by preference, not a pot head). Every type of music written in this era was not hippie based. Furthermore, most hippies then are yuppies now!
